DETAILED ITINERARY
3-Day Expedition
Day 1: Arrival and Cultural Immersion
Welcome to Hillringsberg Herrgård, a picturesque manor overlooking the fjord. After check-in, join a guided tour of the estate and its surroundings, where history and nature intertwine. Learn about the cultural heritage of the region and enjoy a warm, locally-inspired dinner. End the day with a relaxed evening by the campfire or a stroll along the water.
Day 2: Mystical Forest Exploration and Wildlife Watching
Start your morning with a leisurely breakfast before heading into the forest with an expert guide. Explore the mystical landscapes of Glaskogen Nature Reserve, discovering ancient trees, hidden glades, and tranquil viewpoints. After a lunch break at the manor, set off on an evening wildlife safari. Travel by van to prime viewing locations, where you’ll learn to track animals and, with luck, observe moose or other elusive creatures in their natural habitat. Return to the manor for a cozy dinner.
Day 3: Island Hopping on Lake Vänern
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before embarking on a guided boat tour of Lake Vänern. Explore the unique ecosystem of the Lurö Archipelago, home to over 22,000 islands. Walk on scenic trails, spot birdlife like white-tailed eagles, and enjoy a Swedish Fika on one of the islands. Return to the manor for lunch before saying farewell to Värmland’s wild beauty.
